Irritable bowel syndrome FODMAP protocol

Low FODMAP diet

in the context of irritable bowel syndrome

Irritable bowel syndrome (SII) is a common pathology affecting 10% of the world's population. It is characterized by chronic abdominal pain associated with transit disorders and / or bloating.

A team of Australian researchers has demonstrated, in a study published in 2014, results which confirm the effectiveness of a diet low in FODMAP (acronym for fermentable "sugars") in reducing gastrointestinal symptoms in patients with IBS.

The FODMAP protocol is divided into three stages, explained below, that it is necessary to follow in order to regain an overall well-being of life.

I stay in touch with you via WhatsApp or SMS to accompany and support you throughout the implementation of this protocol and to answer all your questions.

"In no case do I make a diagnosis of the disease : engaging in dietary work does not exclude making an appointment with a(e) gastroenterologist, which is essential in the case of significant digestive symptoms. »

Each consultation is at the single price of 60 €, for a duration of approximately 1 hour to 1 hour 15 minutes, they are spaced 4 at 6 approximately weeks depending on how your symptoms progress and reintroduction tests.

Phase 1

It aims to avoid the main sources of FODMAP for about 4 weeks, until there is a marked decrease in intestinal symptoms.

Thumbs up

At the end of the consultation, I give you documents allowing you to better understand this first step (food list…)

Phase 2

The goal will be to assess, through a reintroduction test protocol, your tolerance to foods that are sources of FODMAP and the maximum amount you can eat without having symptoms.

I give you all the necessary documents for this phase according to two methods (classic or slow) : Protocol and quantities.

Phase 3

That's it ! The path to wellness is open, your living comfort has improved and this last step will allow you to reintroduce foods that are well tolerated during the tests.

We can also try to reintroduce the problematic foods detected during the phase 2 by finding the portions compatible with maintaining your intestinal comfort.

Fille réussie

It is important to know that this diet cannot cure irritable bowel syndrome but relieves it and helps prevent symptoms over long periods of time..
